Large businesses are finding it harder to monitor and manage the workloads and apps using that infrastructure as they grow by adding remote data centers and on-premises or public-cloud services.
To solve several of these issues, a new technology known as Multi-Cloud Networking Software (MCNS) is being developed by a number of companies, including Cisco, Arista, VMware, and F5.
According to a recent analysis by Gartner, using a single point of control, MCNS technology allows uniform networking policy, network security, governance, and network visibility across various cloud environments.
When implemented in one or more public cloud settings, MCNS products can employ overlays, agents, and/or orchestrate native cloud provider capabilities.
