The distributed computing startup Anyscale Inc., founded three years ago by a group of researchers from the University of California at Berkeley, said it has closed on a USD 99 million round of funding, adding to the USD 100 million it raised in December.
Foundation Capital, which also took part in the previous round, co-led today’s Series C round with existing investors Addition and Intel Capital. Additionally, the business created Anyscale Compute Platform, a managed version of the Ray platform that is more easily accessible to businesses that are willing to pay for the privilege.
Anyscale unveiled some new updates to Ray and the enterprise-ready Anyscale Compute Platform in addition to the funding that was disclosed today.
