IBM Unveils Enterprise Advantage for Businesses Scale Agentic AI

IBM

IBM introduced IBM Enterprise Advantage. This is the first asset-based consulting service in the industry. It aims to help companies speed up the development, management, and operation of tailored internal AI platforms on a large scale. IBM combines its trusted AI tools with expert consulting. This new offering helps organizations shift from trial runs to full AI adoption more quickly and confidently.

IBM Enterprise Advantage helps organizations modernize workflows. They can integrate AI into existing systems and deploy new applications. Best of all, they don’t need to change their cloud providers, AI models, or core infrastructure. The service supports leading environments including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, IBM watsonx, as well as open- and closed-source models-allowing companies to maximize and extend the value of their existing technology investments.

The offering is built on IBM Consulting Advantage, IBM’s internal AI-powered delivery platform that combines technical assets, reusable accelerators, and industry expertise. IBM Consulting Advantage features a growing marketplace of industry-specific AI agents and applications and has already been used across more than 150 client engagements. The platform has demonstrated productivity improvements of up to 50% for IBM consultants, helping clients realize outcomes more quickly.

IBM Enterprise Advantage lets clients use a proven framework. This helps organizations create their own AI platforms. They can use the same methods and tools that IBM uses internally. Clients receive guidance to navigate the complex AI landscape. They invest in high-impact use cases that provide clear value to their businesses.

Early adopters are already seeing results. Pearson, a lifelong learning company, leverages IBM Enterprise Advantage to create a custom AI-powered platform. This platform mixes human expertise with agentic assistants to aid daily operations and decision-making. In another instance, a manufacturing company used the service to craft its generative AI strategy. They pinpointed high-value opportunities, piloted specific prototypes, and aligned leadership with a scalable, platform-first approach. As a result, the company now rolls out AI assistants across various technologies in a secure, governed environment, enabling enterprise-wide growth.

“Many organizations are investing in AI, but achieving real value at scale remains a major challenge,” said Mohamad Ali, Senior Vice President and Head of IBM Consulting. “We have solved many of these challenges inside IBM by using AI to transform our own operations and deliver measurable results, giving us a proven playbook to help clients succeed. Enterprise Advantage brings this framework to clients by combining human expertise with digital workers and ready-to-use AI assets so they can scale AI with confidence and achieve meaningful impact.”
