Accenture has announced a widened strategic partnership with Google Cloud that is aimed at assisting organizations in dealing with the ever-changing scenario of AI-driven cyber threats. The partnership is centered on delivering a unified approach to cyber defense that is intelligence-led by means of a combination of Google Cloud’s Security Operations platform along with Accenture’s global cyber services.
As cybercriminals are now making use of advanced AI technologies like highly personalized social engineering attacks as well as malware, it is important to note that organizations are getting more exposed, mainly due to gaps that are now being perceived as major business risks instead of technical challenges. The enhanced partnership is aimed at filling the gaps by harnessing the power of human expertise along with advanced cloud technologies, thus enabling organizations to shift from a reactive posture to a proactive posture.
“Agentic AI isn’t just reshaping cyber defense strategies, it’s redefining how we secure operations, introducing new levels of complexity for organizations protecting their businesses,” said Rex Thexton, chief technology officer at Accenture Cybersecurity. “Combining the collective strengths of Google Cloud and Wiz with Accenture’s cybersecurity expertise, we are uniquely positioned to help organizations eliminate security blind spots and efficiently secure their cloud-powered digital core against the next generation of automated threats.”

Enhancing Cloud Security and Threat Detection
Through the collaboration, it will be possible for organizations to leverage the Google Security Operations platform and the Accenture Cybersecurity AI Migration Factory to speed up the modernization of the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution. This will assist in simplifying the migration process while improving the detection and response of threats.
The solutions will be able to support the entire cloud lifecycle, including development, deployment, and runtime. This will assist enterprises in maintaining a unified and governed cybersecurity posture while running complex cloud environments.
Strengthening Security Across the Cloud Ecosystem
As a part of its own cybersecurity strategy, Accenture’s Information Security team is deploying Wiz solutions across its global cloud infrastructure. This is aimed at providing better visibility into potential risks and remediation, furthering its commitment to responsible AI adoption and sound cloud security practices.
“Our partnership with Accenture further strengthens our ability to deliver cloud security offerings and provide customers with a comprehensive solution,” said Kevin Ichhpurani, President, Global Partner Ecosystem at Google Cloud. “Together, we’re bringing the best in technology and services to help organizations of all sizes protect themselves from cyber threats.”
Andy Ritchie, VP Worldwide Channels and Alliances at Wiz said, “Wiz helps customers protect everything they build and run, giving teams the visibility and context they need to adopt new technologies and move faster with confidence. We’re excited to work with Accenture to help more customers innovate at the speed of their business while staying secure at every stage of their cloud journey.”
