Amazon

Amazon has introduced nova.amazon.com, a new platform designed to make its generative AI models, collectively known as Amazon Nova, more accessible to developers and tech enthusiasts. The company also unveiled the Amazon Nova Act SDK, a toolkit that enables the creation of AI agents capable of performing tasks within web browsers.

“Nova.amazon.com puts the power of Amazon’s frontier intelligence into the hands of every developer and tech enthusiast, making it easier than ever to explore the capabilities of Amazon Nova,” said Rohit Prasad, Senior Vice President of Amazon Artificial General Intelligence.

First announced at re:Invent in December 2024, the Amazon Nova suite includes five models:

  • Nova Micro, Lite, and Pro: These models generate text based on various inputs, offering different levels of speed, capability, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Nova Canvas: Specializes in generating high-quality images from text prompts.

  • Nova Reel: Designed for producing videos from text and image inputs.

The Nova Act SDK, currently in research preview, enables developers to build AI agents that can autonomously perform tasks within a browser. These agents can complete complex workflows by breaking them into smaller steps, such as searching online, processing transactions, and responding to on-screen queries. Developers can also refine their functionality by providing detailed instructions, improving their accuracy and efficiency.

By launching these new tools, Amazon aims to fuel AI innovation and support developers in creating scalable, intelligent applications.
