Anecdotes Launches AI Agents to Transform GRC with Google Cloud

Anecdotes

Anecdotes, the leading data-oriented governance, risk and compliance (GRC) automation platform, announced the launch of its AI agents, designed to help businesses navigate the complexities of GRC. These are among the first AI agents built for enterprise GRC, which integrate with Google Cloud infrastructure to automate and optimize GRC workflows with increased efficiency and accuracy.

The new AI agents leverage Anecdotes’ unique data-first approach to GRC automation, using machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP) to automate processes and unlock new opportunities.. By integrating AI into GRC operations businesses gain automation and insights, enhancing efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.

The first AI agent available is Policy Guardian, which ensures that written policies are correctly implemented at all times by continuously testing them against real-time data and identifying implementation gaps.

“With multiple policies, each containing dozens of requirements that need to be assessed, most organizations have given up on continuously monitoring implementation. Organizations needed  a way to bridge the gap between policy intent and actual enforcement,” said Roi Amior, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at Anecdotes. “Policy Guardian enables businesses to ensure continuous alignment between their policies and operational reality, eliminating compliance blind spots before they become risks.”

Policy Guardian delivers value by:

  • Turning Policies into Live Documents – Reads written policies and identifies actionable statements that need to be implemented and monitored.
  • Ensuring Continuous Adherence – Continuously scans system data to detect implementation gaps between policy requirements and actual configurations.
  • Providing Actionable Evidence – Automatically provides notifications regarding discrepancies with clear evidence, allowing teams to quickly address compliance gaps.

By continuously testing system data against policies, Policy Guardian ensures they are implemented as intended. For example, if a policy requires all databases be backed up daily but the data shows that one is configured to be backed up once a week, Policy Guardian will identify the gap, provide supporting evidence, and notify the team to take corrective action.
