Armis launches Vulnerability Intelligence Database to increase preventative security

Armis

Armis, the cyberexposure management and security company, announced it is expanding its vulnerability assessment and discovery capabilities with the free availability of the Armis Vulnerability Intelligence Database. The community-driven database provides information on known vulnerabilities and emerging threats, along with AI-powered insights, and empowers the cybersecurity industry with the expertise needed to effectively prioritize and mitigate threats in real time.

The Armis Vulnerability Intelligence Database is powered by Armis Labs , Armis Early Warning capabilities , and the Armis Asset Intelligence Engine . It also receives intelligence from Armis Centrix™ for VIPR Pro – Prioritization and Remediation . This enables Armis customers to benefit from additional crowdsourced knowledge to help them effectively prioritize emerging vulnerabilities in their respective industries. By delivering critical insights faster than traditional databases, organizations can secure their environments before vulnerabilities or risks are exploited at scale.

“As cybercriminals continually expand and refine their attacks, a proactive approach to risk mitigation is essential,” said Nadir Izrael, CTO and co-founder of Armis. “The Armis Vulnerability Intelligence Database is a critical, open-access resource built by the security community itself. It translates vulnerability information into real-world impact, enabling organizations to respond quickly and make more informed decisions about cyber threat management.”

Currently, 58% of global organizations only respond to threats after the damage has already occurred. Nearly a quarter (22%) of IT decision-makers also report that continuous vulnerability assessments are missing from their security measures. Many continue to track vulnerabilities and security findings using spreadsheets. There is an urgent need to close these gaps before negative consequences occur.

In addition, Armis has been certified as a CVE Numbering Authority (CNA) by the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE®) program . The international program’s mission is to identify, document, and catalog publicly disclosed security vulnerabilities. As a CNA, Armis can review newly discovered vulnerabilities and assign them CVE IDs.

“We go beyond detection and provide true security—before the attack, not afterward,” adds Izrael. “It is our duty and goal to raise cybersecurity awareness and promote action across all industries. This is a critical prerequisite for effectively managing the entire cyberthreat lifecycle and keeping cyber risks in check, ensuring the protection of society as a whole.”
