Mr. O’Neal succeeds retiring CEO Scott Behn, who has led Aureon with distinction and played a pivotal role in the company’s growth and success.

George O’Neal Brings Extensive Leadership and Technical Expertise

George O’Neal is a visionary leader of integrity, renowned for his focus on strategic growth, analytics, technology evolution, change management, and financial performance. With over 18 years of experience at GVTC Communications, George has demonstrated a unique ability to comprehend complex technology issues and communicate them effectively to stakeholders at all levels. His expertise in public speaking and presentations, combined with his exceptional leadership skills, has consistently resulted in empowered, inspired, and spirited teams.

Professional Highlights:

  • Network Transformation: Led the transformation of GVTC’s network from copper to fiber, successfully building fiber to over 80,000 rooftops, establishing one of the finest broadband networks in the USA.
  • Industry Recognition: Under his leadership, GVTC Fiber was rated #1 in the United States and #3 in the world on the Netflix ISP Speed Index in March 2020.
  • Customer Experience Excellence: Achieved industry-leading NPS scores by implementing network optimizations, enhancing installation practices, and improving repair processes with a customer-centric approach.

Additionally, he served as a Board Director and Treasurer for the Fiber Broadband Association (formerly the Fiber-to-the-Home Council), contributing to the strategic direction and financial oversight of the association and advancing industry standards nationwide.

Educational Background: George is a graduate of the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. His military education instilled in him a strong sense of discipline, leadership, and strategic thinking.
