Automation Anywhere, a leader in Agentic Process Automation (APA), has acquired Aisera, a pioneer in autonomous IT and conversational AI. This deal is a big step toward the Autonomous Enterprise vision. Here, up to 80% of work can be automated or supported by smart AI agents.
By combining Aisera’s self-service AI for IT Service Management (ITSM), HR, and customer service with its APA technology, Automation Anywhere now provides one of the most complete automation portfolios in the industry. This unified platform aims to streamline enterprise operations, enhance employee and customer experiences, and cut operational costs through intelligent automation.
“With this acquisition, we’re expanding the value we offer to customers, broadening our market reach, and accelerating the momentum of our GenAI business — already the cornerstone of our growth and the majority of our bookings,” said Mihir Shukla, CEO and Co-founder of Automation Anywhere. “We are in a unique position to help customers adopt agentic AI faster while reducing their spending on existing, seat-based ITSM products. With AI agents doing the work, up to 40% fewer ITSM seats are needed. And in this new agentic world, Automation Anywhere charges for work done rather than underutilized seats.”

Aisera CEO Abhi Maheshwari added, “The union of Automation Anywhere and Aisera creates an agentic automation powerhouse. Both companies share a common vision—to harness AI as a transformative force that reimagines how every enterprise function operates.”
The acquisition brings together Aisera’s advanced conversational AI platform and Automation Anywhere’s APA system, enabling enterprises to automate complex workflows—from interpreting natural language intent to executing actions across thousands of IT and business systems. With over 400 million automations already running on its platform, Automation Anywhere plans to accelerate innovation across multiple sectors, supported by Aisera’s 100-plus AI engineers.
According to Venky Ganesan, Partner at Menlo Ventures, the merger represents “a defining moment in enterprise AI,” combining deep automation expertise with groundbreaking AI technology to fast-track the evolution of the autonomous enterprise.
