Box, Inc., the Intelligent Content Management (ICM) platform, has introduced a suite of next-generation AI-powered solutions designed to transform how enterprises manage and automate content-driven workflows. The announcements, made at the company’s annual BoxWorks conference, include Box Extract, Box Automate, and enhanced AI capabilities within Box Apps.

Box Extract simplifies large-scale data extraction by using agentic reasoning to unlock insights from contracts, invoices, images, spreadsheets, and more. It can interpret text, handwriting, barcodes, and complex tables, delivering structured, validated, and ready-to-use data for critical business processes. By enriching unstructured content with actionable outputs, it enables teams across legal, finance, HR, and operations to work faster and more effectively.

Box Automate introduces agent-driven workflow automation, allowing organizations to design and orchestrate end-to-end processes with no-code and low-code tools. It enables dynamic task routing between agents, teams, and systems, helping enterprises accelerate decision-making and streamline operations across industries, from contract management to sales and invoice processing.

Box Apps, the company’s no-code dashboard solution, now integrates AI agents to provide smarter analysis, natural language queries, and dynamic visualizations. This upgrade turns static content repositories into intelligent hubs that support faster, more informed decision-making.

“As AI agents rapidly integrate into every vertical and domain, we’re witnessing a fundamental shift in how work gets done,” said Aaron Levie, Co-Founder and CEO of Box. “This new generation of intelligent agents is expanding the boundaries of enterprise software, enabling organizations to automate previously impossible tasks and unlock massive new value.”

Box’s latest innovations are designed with flexibility in mind. Customers can leverage AI models from providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, IBM, Amazon, and Meta, while extending Box content into custom and third-party agents through Box AI Studio, APIs, and integrations with platforms like Microsoft 365 Copilot and Salesforce Agentforce.
