Cerebras Systems Unveils ‘Cerebras for Nations’ to Power Global Sovereign AI Initiatives

Cerebras Systems

Cerebras Systems, a pioneer in high-performance AI infrastructure, has launched “Cerebras for Nations,” a worldwide initiative aimed at empowering governments to design, build, and scale their sovereign AI capabilities. The program is set to accelerate the development of national AI ecosystems through cutting-edge infrastructure, collaborative model development, and local investments in education and policy.

Built around three strategic pillars, the Cerebras for Nations program focuses first on co-designing world-class AI supercomputers using Cerebras’ Wafer-Scale Engine 3 (WSE-3) and CS-3 systems, delivering record-breaking performance for AI training and inference. These next-generation systems enable countries to develop domain-specific and language-based models with unprecedented speed and data security—either through local deployments or secure cloud environments.

Second, the initiative enables governments and industries to co-develop advanced AI models alongside Cerebras’ in-house research experts. This collaboration has already produced numerous high-performance models, including Jais (Arabic-English-code), Nanda (Hindi), SHERKALA (Kazakh), FLOR (multilingual Spanish-Catalan-English), and Med42 (healthcare). Each model is tailored for local relevance and retains full ownership within the host nation.

The third pillar emphasizes local investment in education, workforce development, and AI policy frameworks. Through partnerships with host countries, Cerebras aims to foster AI talent pipelines and strengthen digital transformation at a national level.

“We are thrilled to announce the launch of Cerebras for Nations, expanding access to AI compute and adding partnerships to accelerate AI for science and society around the world,” said Andy Hock, Chief Strategy Officer at Cerebras. “This initiative emerges from the extraordinary work we’ve done for years with the U.S. government, in the UK, and with our strategic partners G42 in the UAE. We look forward to expanding those partnerships and adding many more.”

Echoing this sentiment, Kanishka Narayan, the UK’s Minister for AI, noted, “Today’s announcement puts the UK at the heart of Cerebras’ global plans, a clear vote of confidence in our ability to harness AI to create jobs, transform the economy, and modernise public services.”

Cerebras, a U.S.-founded company, supports national tech trade goals, such as the US-UK Tech Prosperity Deal. It also aims to expand global access to sovereign AI infrastructure. The company has active partnerships in the U.S., UK, and UAE, with plans to grow into India, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas.

Through Cerebras for Nations, the company wants to change how countries use AI. It emphasizes innovation, independence, and global cooperation in the era of sovereign intelligence.
