Dashlane Partner with KnowBe4 on Security Awareness

Dashlane

Dashlane, a leader in credential management, has just introduced a revolutionary new integration with KnowBe4, the world’s most widely used platform for human and agentic AI risk management. This partnership is the first-of-its-kind combining credential protection and human risk management, turning real-time security insights into immediate, targeted training to strengthen organizational defenses at the very moment of vulnerability.

Dashlane’s latest figures highlight the critical need of this collaboration, pointing out that one-third of all corporate logins are done using weak or compromised credentials. These dangerous points of entry are usually outside Single Sign-On (SSO) coverage and thus not protected by password managers, making them completely invisible to IT and security departments.

“Employees are the first line of defense against attackers, making it critical that enterprises take the opportunity to turn users’ risky behavior into a learning moment,” said John Bennett, chief executive officer, Dashlane. “Dashlane’s unique vantage point in the browser paired with KnowBe4‘s wide-array of training content creates a vehicle for organizations to automatically instill a more proactive security posture across their workforce.”

Closing the Feedback Loop: In-Context Security Awareness

While traditional security awareness training is a staple of modern defense, many programs suffer from being generic or calendar-driven. By the time an employee attends a scheduled session, the context of a previous risky action—such as reusing a compromised password-is often lost.

The integration of the Dashlane Omnix™ platform with KnowBe4 bridges this gap. By detecting the use of compromised credentials or active phishing threats in the browser, the system immediately triggers relevant, bite-sized training modules for the specific end-user at risk.

“Integrating KnowBe4 with Dashlane Omnix took the friction out of improving employee security habits—a significant part of our security posture. It also keeps accountability with the user,” said Scott Holleran, senior vice president of technology, Vertex Service Partners. “My team gets to spend less time on password security and more time focused on building our security program.”

A Proactive Defense Against Human Risk

This relationship forms a “closed-loop” approach where the threat detected is immediately followed by education. This way, for example, when an employee inadvertently enters his credentials into a well-designed phishing website, Dashlane steps in and raises the red alert. Once the alert is raised, KnowBe4 immediately guides the employee in identifying the tell-tale signs of this attack.

This strategy provides multiple benefits for the organization, such as:

Reduced Risk: Ensures that there is measurable reduction in the risks of credential-based breaches.

No Disruption: Provides increased security with zero impact on business continuity.

Proactive Approach: Emphasizes proactive approach to security rather than just repairing damages.

Proactive Security Culture: Shifts the focus from reactive damage control to proactive, habit-forming defense.

“Integrating Dashlane’s real-time detection into KnowBe4’s training ecosystem transforms human risk management into a proactive defense layer that can help to prevent credential-based breaches,” said Greg Kras, chief product officer, KnowBe4. “The correlation between detected security risk from Dashlane and the KnowBe4 platform’s capabilities with custom training are building a foundation for a strong security culture.”
