Eon Partners with Google Cloud to Help Enterprises Accelerate AI Adoption

Eon

Eon, the next-generation cloud data backup platform, has announced a strategic partnership with Google Cloud to accelerate enterprise data analytics and spur greater AI adoption by businesses. Eon’s autonomous cloud backup platform turns cloud backups into data lakes, enabling organizations to easily access their data and harness it for new insights and capabilities through Google Cloud’s data analytics and AI tools.

“Our unique storage platform automates backups and transforms them to accessible data lakes, making data backups instantly available for the first time,” said Ofir Ehrlich, CEO and co-founder of Eon. “This empowers businesses to further AI adoption by harnessing their data for smarter real-time decision-making. Customers can now run analytics and get insights directly on database backups.”

“Eon is pioneering an innovative approach to helping customers make their cloud backup and migration processes simpler and more helpful with AI,” said Darren Mowry, Managing Director, Global Startups at Google Cloud. “We’re thrilled that the Eon team has chosen Google Cloud AI and data analytics capabilities to underpin their product and look forward to supporting the team as they scale.”

Eon’s relationship with Google Cloud began as part of Google Cloud’s partnership with Sequoia Capital, one of Eon’s investors, which provides Sequoia-backed companies with preferred benefits, including credits, access to enhanced support, preferred access to AI infrastructure and models, and enhanced go-to-market support.

Through the partnership, Eon and Google Cloud customers gain:

  • Data Access: Consolidates backups across cloud services and providers into a centralized storage platform that runs on top of Google Cloud Storage.
  • Seamless Google Cloud Integration: Customers can use BigQuery and Dataproc to connect directly to Eon’s Iceberg tables folders.
  • Enhanced AI and Analytics: Customers can link backup data to services like Vertex AI and Looker to generate insights faster.
  • Efficiency Gains & Cost Savings: Reduces backup storage costs by up to 50% and boosts productivity by ingesting cloud backups into a data lake with zero disruptive ETL operations.

Eon is also joining Google’s Cloud ISV Springboard Program, an initiative supporting high-impact cloud innovators, which adds additional go-to-market support through Google Cloud Marketplace.
