GitLab Duo with Amazon Q Now Generally Available, Ushering in AI-Driven DevSecOps at Scale

GitLab Inc., the DevSecOps platform, has officially launched the general availability of GitLab Duo, its AI-powered suite of capabilities designed to accelerate software development, now integrated with Amazon Q, AWS’s generative AI assistant.

GitLab Duo’s release brings AI-assisted workflows to the forefront of the software development lifecycle, enabling teams to enhance productivity, code quality, and security while managing costs and compliance. The solution incorporates over 15 features, including code suggestions, vulnerability explanations, and merge request summarizations.

This announcement also marks the debut of GitLab Duo Enterprise, which combines advanced AI functionalities with GitLab’s enterprise-grade platform—tailored for large organizations needing scalable, secure AI solutions that align with their existing DevSecOps processes.

A key element of GitLab Duo Enterprise is the integration with Amazon Q Developer, enabling developers to streamline daily tasks such as debugging, testing, and documentation. The AI assistant is embedded within GitLab’s UI, delivering in-context support and enhancing team collaboration across the software delivery pipeline.
