GlobalLogic Inc., a Hitachi Group company and a leader in digital engineering, today announced that its President and CEO Shashank Samant will be succeeded by the company’s current Chief Operating Officer (COO), Nitesh Banga, effective October 1, 2022 becomes the new President and CEO. Nitesh is a versatile and experienced executive who has worked successfully in various roles of strategy, go-to-market, engineering and operations while launching similar companies in the Japanese market. Shashank will assume a new role as Chairman of the GlobalLogic Board of Directors, in addition to serving as Executive Advisor to Mr. Toshiaki Tokunaga, Sector Head of Hitachi Digital Systems and Services (DSS).
For more than a decade, Shashank led GlobalLogic through periods of rapid growth as CEO, overseeing multiple strategic acquisitions and digital capability expansion efforts. His leadership and expertise took the company from a group of elite software engineers to a world leader in digital engineering, eventually becoming part of the Hitachi Group.

Since arriving in 2018, Nitesh has led key roles in GlobalLogic’s business. He was instrumental in GlobalLogic’s remarkable growth and adeptly leading the company through monumental challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine.

Nitesh is a services industry veteran with diversified expertise in strategy, business development, service delivery, operations, and mergers and acquisitions. He has adeptly managed large P&L organizations and has a deep understanding of Western and Eastern cultures, including Japan. Before joining GlobalLogic, he worked for IT services and consulting company Infosys for more than two decades.
