Grafana Dashboards to Integrate with Microsoft Azure Monitor for Enhanced Observability

Grafana Labs

Grafana Labs and Microsoft are deepening their collaboration to bring native Grafana dashboard capabilities to Azure Monitor, providing users with enhanced observability and more flexible visualizations within the Azure ecosystem.

Announced at Microsoft Build 2025, the new integration will allow Azure Monitor users to access Grafana dashboards directly within the Azure portal. This marks a significant expansion of Grafana’s footprint in the cloud space and delivers on customer demand for more customizable and powerful telemetry tools. Users will be able to visualize and correlate data from Azure Monitor alongside telemetry from other data sources, such as Prometheus, Loki, and OpenTelemetry.

The offering builds on the momentum of the existing Azure Managed Grafana service, which has seen growing adoption among enterprise customers seeking streamlined monitoring solutions.

“Grafana dashboards in Azure Monitor bring together the best of Grafana’s visualization capabilities and Azure’s powerful observability data to create a seamless and productive experience for developers and operators,” said Ryan McKinley, VP of Applications at Grafana Labs.

The integration will support built-in dashboards for popular Azure services like Virtual Machines, Kubernetes (AKS), and Azure SQL, as well as provide customization tools for building tailored views across hybrid environments. These capabilities are designed to accelerate incident response and improve system reliability.

Grafana dashboards within Azure Monitor are expected to enter public preview in the coming months, with general availability to follow later in the year.
