HCLSoftware, the software division of HCLTech, has announced its intent to acquire Jaspersoft from Cloud Software Group, a move aimed at accelerating customers’ Agentic Business Intelligence initiatives and strengthening its Data & AI division, Actian. The acquisition enhances Actian’s growing portfolio in metadata management, data cataloging, and governance by adding Jaspersoft’s embedded analytics and pixel-perfect reporting capabilities, delivering a more end-to-end and immersive data management experience. Jaspersoft is widely used for creating pixel-perfect reports, interactive dashboards, and advanced visualizations, particularly in regulated industries such as government, banking, and financial services.

The deal also expands HCLSoftware’s reach within a global developer community building modern enterprise data platforms. “As GenAI adoption accelerates, our customers want business intelligence solutions that can deliver consistent analytics and reports and offer flexibility to fully own the analytics experience,” said Marc Potter, CEO Actian & Portfolio General Manager of HCLSoftware’s Data & AI division. “Jaspersoft has earned the trust of organizations worldwide through its embedded analytics capabilities,” added Steven Schneider, General Manager of Analytics business unit at Cloud Software Group. The transaction is expected to close within six months.
