Onbe

Onbe, a leading corporate payouts platform, announces the appointment of Sayid Shabeer as its new Chief Product Officer. Shabeer joins the company’s executive team reporting directly to CEO Bala Janakiraman, as Onbe deepens its focus on financial services and software partnerships to modernize the $3 trillion business-to-person payments market.

As Chief Product Officer at HighRadius, Shabeer led the product and technology organizations that transformed the company into an industry leader. HighRadius serves +1,000 clients and handles more than $10 trillion in annual accounts receivable volume. Prior to HighRadius, Shabeer led the merchant product team at Vantiv, now Worldpay, following Vantiv’s acquisition of Litle & Co., where he led a team that built payment solutions for a broad range of clients.

“Sayid’s deep understanding of enterprise payments aligns with our mission to simplify complex payment operations,” says Bala Janakiraman, CEO of Onbe. “As financial institutions and software companies increasingly seek to embed modern payment capabilities into their platforms, Sayid’s experience in building scalable solutions and market driven innovations will help us extend our reach across new segments and clients.”

“The payments industry stands at an inflection point, with businesses modernizing their payouts operations,” says Shabeer. “Onbe has built something special – a comprehensive platform that tackles the complexity of corporate payouts head-on. By deepening Onbe’s connectivity to clients, we’re well-positioned to accelerate the digitization of consumer and workforce payments.”

Through its unified platform, Onbe enables clients to deliver custom-branded, contextually relevant payment experiences to consumers and workers alike. This modern approach to payouts moves beyond traditional payment methods, offering recipients the digital payment choices they expect in their daily lives—from virtual cards and mobile wallets to global FX capabilities—while eliminating complexity and risk for companies managing these programs.

“Having partnered with Sayid before, during our time at Litle & Co. and Vantiv, I know firsthand his talent for turning market opportunities into innovative solutions,” adds Janakiraman. “His track record of transforming how companies think about and deliver payments makes this a powerful addition to our team as we shape the future of payouts.”
