OpenText and TELUS have partnered to launch the OpenText and TELUS Canadian Sovereign Cloud, a purpose-built AI and cloud platform designed to meet the strict data sovereignty, security, and compliance needs of Canadian government agencies and enterprises. The platform ensures that all applications, data, and AI workloads remain entirely within Canadian borders, operating from secure TELUS data centers in Quebec and British Columbia. TELUS President and CEO Darren Entwistle emphasized that this partnership delivers “Canada’s first truly sovereign AI platform” by combining TELUS’ Sovereign AI Factory with OpenText’s enterprise AI.
