Reply and Mistral AI have signed a partnership agreement that seeks to further and speed up the shipment of secure, customizable, and enterprise-grade generative AI solutions worldwide.

The collaboration was founded on a mutual pledge to push the boundaries of AI while maintaining tight control over data and sensitive information as well as compliance with the regulatory framework. The partnership also commits to the use of European-based infrastructures that support data sovereignty and governance requirements for enterprises in the regulated environment.

Enabling AI Adoption in Highly Regulated Industries

By leveraging the high-performance models of Mistral AI with Reply’s expertise in the development and customization of large language models (LLMs) using proprietary and domain-specific datasets, the collaboration allows organizations to deploy highly tailored AI-based solutions, which are easily integrable with existing systems.

The partnership even reaches into research sectors through the collaboration with the Austrian Academy of Sciences. The organizations together are working on a specially tailored large language model for the Greek language, which spans ancient, medieval, and modern texts.

This model aims to support researchers using historical Greek sources by providing them with enhanced text search and text completion functionalities. It has been trained on a carefully assembled dataset comprising ancient literature, digitized inscriptions, papyrus collections, and also selected modern Greek texts obtained from scholarly and publicly available sources.

Reply and Mistral AI, through this project, are both training and evaluating the model, thus ensuring its precision, dependability, and usefulness. This undertaking demonstrates that sovereign AI infrastructure and domain-specific model customization can be successfully implemented even in very specialized research settings.
