SecurityBridge acquires CyberSafe to provide contextual SSO, MFA, and passwordless authentication to SAP users

SecurityBridge

SecurityBridge , the developer of the Cybersecurity Command Center for SAP, announced the acquisition of CyberSafe, a UK-based pioneer in multi-factor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on (SSO) for SAP users. The acquisition marks a significant milestone in SAP’s security innovation, as CyberSafe’s flagship product, TrustBroker®, enriches the capabilities of the SecurityBridge platform. Bidirectional integration enables customers to move from password-based authentication to multi-factor authentication within the SAP technology stack with full visibility into the SAP application layer.

“SAP’s native security lacks the depth required by today’s threat landscape,” said Christoph Nagy, Managing Director and co-founder of SecurityBridge. “This acquisition reinforces our commitment to ensuring the security of all SAP systems and our customers. By integrating TrustBroker into our platform, we enable our customers to deploy passwordless MFA across all SAP workflows without compromising on usability. However, customers can continue to use TrustBroker products independently.”

With a globally trusted customer base across all industries and over three decades of cybersecurity experience, CyberSafe provides comprehensive authentication capabilities and a proven track record in enterprise identity protection. TrustBroker products provide secure single sign-on (SSO), policy-based MFA at login, and step-up authentication (SUA) using leading MFA applications such as Microsoft Entra MFA (formerly Azure MFA), Okta, PingID, Duo, RSA SecurID, and TOTP/HOTP apps. Once integrated with SecurityBridge, TrustBroker products respond to real-time threat signals such as unusual login behavior, suspicious devices, and previous user activity to determine when MFA enforcement is required, augmenting SAP user authentication with contextual intelligence.

“For over three decades, CyberSafe has been a pioneer in integrating SAP user authentication into existing infrastructures such as Microsoft Active Directory,” said Tim Alsop, Managing Director of CyberSafe. “Joining forces with SecurityBridge will facilitate the development of new products and enhance existing ones, while leveraging the increasing adoption of modern authentication methods. I’m also excited to provide integration with the SecurityBridge platform, enabling our TrustBroker products to offer contextual and risk-based MFA.”

The combined platform provides behavior-based enforcement policies with MFA and takes SAP security to the next level by:

  • automatically enforces MFA when users return after a long period of inactivity (e.g., more than 90 days).
  • Requires MFA for logins outside of a user’s regular working hours,
  • Enforces MFA on logins from devices that were not previously linked to the user,
  • requires additional authentication for users with suspicious behavior in the past or for flagged activities,
  • MFA is triggered when access is from devices used by multiple people.

These context-aware measures seamlessly adapt authentication requirements to each situation, reducing friction for users during common activities while strengthening protection against unusual or risky access attempts.
