Snowflake, the AI Data Cloud company, has launched new innovations. These changes aim to improve how businesses access, manage, and use their data for AI applications. Key upgrades are the Snowflake Horizon Catalog, Openflow, Interactive Tables, Warehouses, and the upcoming Snowflake Postgres. These tools will boost the enterprise lakehouse. They will enable smooth, open, and governed data connections across various clouds and formats.
With Horizon Catalog and Openflow now available, companies can merge siloed data sources. This ensures consistent governance and interoperability for AI-driven tasks. These updates let businesses access data easily for AI agents. They also maintain Snowflake’s strong security and governance.
“The enterprise lakehouse represents the evolution of how organizations manage and activate data for AI,” said Christian Kleinerman, EVP of Product at Snowflake. “With advancements to Horizon Catalog, we’re giving enterprises context and governance for AI across all their data by default—wherever it lives, and without vendor lock-in. Coupled with Openflow and Snowflake Postgres, it’s now even easier for customers to connect and use their data securely, turning every dataset into the fuel for intelligence.”

Merkle and RelationalAI are among the thousands of customers benefiting from these capabilities. “With Snowflake’s Horizon Catalog, built from the ground up with security and governance at its core, we can ensure customer data, including sensitive identity information, is handled responsibly while safeguarding customer trust,” added Peter Rogers, EVP at Merkle.
Snowflake is also introducing Interactive Tables and Warehouses for sub-second analytics and near real-time insights, alongside Snowflake Postgres—a managed service bringing the world’s most popular database to the platform enterprises already trust. Together, these advancements enable organizations to unify transactional and analytical data, paving the way for intelligent apps and AI agents that operate on live, secure, and actionable data.
