Together AI, a leader in AI Acceleration Cloud solutions, has successfully raised $305 million in Series B funding, led by General Catalyst with co-leadership from Prosperity7. The investment round also garnered support from a prestigious group of global institutional and strategic investors, including Salesforce Ventures, DAMAC Capital, NVIDIA, Kleiner Perkins, March Capital, Emergence Capital, Lux Capital, SE Ventures, Greycroft, Coatue, Definition, Cadenza Ventures, Long Journey Ventures, Brave Capital, as well as technology pioneers like Scott Banister and John Chambers.

This latest funding round, which values the company at $3.3 billion, coincides with Together AI’s announcement of an ambitious expansion plan for its AI Acceleration Cloud. The expansion will include a large-scale deployment of NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs. This strategic investment will further strengthen Together AI’s position as the leading end-to-end platform for building with open-source models. The company’s enterprise-grade inference and fine-tuning capabilities are already reshaping how over 450,000 AI developers, AI-native companies, and global enterprises—including Salesforce, Zoom, SK Telecom, Hedra, Cognition, Zomato, Krea, Cartesia, and The Washington Post—are creating next-generation AI applications.

“Vipul and his team have built an incredible tech platform and business, quickly becoming a dominant player in AI infrastructure in under two years. I first invested in their initial angel round and have seen firsthand the evolution of a product that today supports many Fortune 100 companies in training, fine-tuning, and running inference on models at scale,” said Marc Bhargava, Managing Director at General Catalyst. “Together AI’s mission to be the full-stack AI cloud is incredibly inspiring, and General Catalyst brings the go-to-market expertise and ambition necessary to accelerate this goal.”

As open-source models like DeepSeek-R1 and Meta’s Llama emerge as powerful alternatives to proprietary solutions, Together AI has solidified its position as the driving platform for this shift in the AI landscape. The company empowers developers, AI-native businesses, and enterprises to leverage open-source AI with unmatched speed and efficiency. Together AI delivers the fastest DeepSeek-R1 and Llama inference at production scale, using secure, private infrastructure and cutting-edge research innovations.

Together AI’s platform uniquely spans the entire AI lifecycle, offering solutions that include enterprise-grade inference, training, and fine-tuning for foundational models, agentic workflows with built-in code interpretation, and synthetic data generation. This allows organizations to create complete AI applications with the performance, security, accuracy, and model ownership required by enterprises. Supporting over 200 open-source models across various modalities—chat, image, audio, vision, code, and embeddings—the platform is powered by Together AI’s proprietary Inference Engine and incorporates innovations such as FlashAttention-3 kernels and advanced quantization techniques. The platform delivers 2-3x faster inference compared to today’s hyperscaler solutions.

Together AI is also redefining the AI infrastructure landscape, securing 200 MW of power capacity, and deploying optimized clusters of NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs across several data centers in North America. The company’s partnership with Hypertec to co-build a cluster of 36,000 NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 GPUs further strengthens its leadership position in the AI Cloud sector. Central to this infrastructure is the Together Kernel Collection—a breakthrough in AI system optimization, developed under the leadership of Chief Scientist Tri Dao, the creator of FlashAttention. This proprietary technology stack enables 24% faster training operations while significantly reducing costs for customers like Pika Labs.

Together AI’s research lab continues to push the boundaries of innovation at the intersection of AI and systems research. Its open-source contributions, such as Mixture of Agents, Medusa, Sequoia, Hyena, and Mamba, are fueling progress and driving industry-wide advancements in AI.
