UniCredit has signed a 10-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Google Cloud to accelerate its digital transformation across 13 core markets, marking a major strategic move toward modernizing the bank’s operations and delivering next-generation financial services. The agreement will see UniCredit progressively migrate key applications, including legacy systems, to Google Cloud’s secure and scalable infrastructure—enhancing agility, unifying its technology landscape, and supporting future growth. As part of the partnership, UniCredit will also leverage Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform and Gemini models to boost operational efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and drive innovation in areas such as investment banking insights, financial crime prevention, and AI-powered product development.
