Wirex, a leading Web3 money app, has introduced EURC settlements through Visa’s stablecoin settlement pilot, becoming the first in the EU to implement this capability. Following a successful testing phase, the integration enables near real-time settlement using EURC—a Circle-issued stablecoin pegged 1:1 to the euro—via the Visa Network, streamlining cross-border transactions and enhancing crypto-to-fiat conversion efficiency. “Partnering with Visa to enable EURC settlements is a major step forward in our mission to make digital currencies practical for everyday payments,” said Svyatoslav Garal, Global Head of Payments at Wirex. Visa’s Rubail Birwadker added, “It reflects our commitment to modernizing money movement and offering our partners the flexibility to innovate using stablecoins.”

This milestone underscores both companies’ dedication to advancing stablecoin adoption in global payments, reducing cross-border frictions, and fostering a more inclusive financial ecosystem.
