Supermicro, Inc., a provider of complete IT solutions for Cloud, AI/ML, Storage, and 5G/Edge, announced the all-new FlexTwin family of systems designed to meet the needs of scientists, researchers, governments, and enterprises running the world’s most complex and demanding computing workloads. FlexTwin offers flexible support for the latest CPU, memory, storage, power, and cooling technologies and is purpose-built to support demanding HPC workloads including financial services, scientific research, and complex modeling. These systems are cost-optimized for performance per dollar and, thanks to Supermicro’s modular Building Block Solutions® design, can be customized to specific HPC applications and customer requirements.

“Supermicro’s FlexTwin servers set a new standard for performance density for rack-scale deployments with up to 96 dual processor nodes of compute power in a standard 48U rack,” said Charles Liang , president and CEO of Supermicro . “At Supermicro, we can provide a complete, one-stop solution that includes servers, racks, networking, liquid cooling components, and liquid cooling towers. This accelerates deployment time and improves the quality and reliability of the entire infrastructure, so customers can achieve results faster. Liquid cooling removes up to 90% of the heat generated by the server, saving significant amounts of energy and enabling greater compute power.”

This new multi-node design incorporates Supermicro’s modular Resource Saving Architecture that utilizes shared power supplies and DLC of critical components to reduce resource usage, maximize energy efficiency, and lower data center power usage effectiveness (PUE). The new FlexTwin architecture incorporates a suite of novel and industry-standard technologies that not only improve performance but also increase workload flexibility and usability for large-scale data centers.
