Concentric AI Expands with Swift Security and Acante Acquisitions to Deliver First End-to-End AI-Powered Data Security Platform

Concentric AI

Concentric AI has announced the acquisition of Swift Security and Acante, a strategic move that positions the company to deliver the industry’s first fully integrated, AI-driven platform for end-to-end data security governance. By combining these newly acquired capabilities with its existing Semantic Intelligence™ platform, Concentric AI now brings together data security posture management (DSPM), data loss prevention (DLP), and generative AI (GenAI) governance – spanning every data format and environment, from structured to unstructured data, on-premises and in the cloud.

The addition of Swift Security and Acante dramatically extends Concentric AI’s ability to safeguard enterprise data across multiple high-risk scenarios, including public GenAI tools like ChatGPT, proprietary GenAI workloads, email, file sharing, and social media. This expansion enables organizations to monitor, discover, and protect sensitive information wherever it resides or moves — covering data at rest, in motion, and in use.

“Generative AI is rapidly emerging as a critical threat vector and Concentric AI is rising to meet the challenge,” said Karthik Krishnan, Concentric AI Founder and CEO. “These acquisitions are evidence of our commitment to our ongoing mission to operationalize data security and protect our customers’ most sensitive data at scale and across all use cases — from GenAI apps to email, social media, file sharing, and everything in between. Now organizations can easily govern and fully operationalize data security across their cloud and on-prem environments, wherever data lives and however it travels.”

By integrating Swift Security’s technology, Concentric AI can now detect the use of public GenAI applications — such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and thousands of others — and provide oversight to prevent inappropriate handling of sensitive information like PII, PCI, PHI, and other business-critical data. This empowers security teams to monitor and control how data flows through public GenAI tools, make informed decisions to block or allow uploads, and mask or redact content as needed.

Meanwhile, acquiring Acante extends Concentric AI’s reach into securing data used to train AI and ML models. This capability allows organizations to curate training datasets by excluding, masking, or encrypting sensitive information to meet privacy and compliance requirements. Security teams can also tailor policies to control access to this data, ensuring the right users have appropriate permissions.

At the core of this expanded offering is the Semantic Intelligence™ platform, which goes beyond conventional rule-based tools by using patented AI to understand the context of both structured and unstructured data. This enables organizations to accurately identify not only PII, PCI, and PHI, but also intellectual property and other critical business documents that might otherwise go unnoticed. Continuous risk monitoring and automated remediation address issues such as overpermissioning and misclassification, strengthening data governance across the entire security ecosystem.

As enterprises increasingly embrace GenAI to boost efficiency and innovation, Concentric AI’s broadened portfolio reflects its commitment to helping organizations secure sensitive data in this new era. The combined capabilities offer a comprehensive solution that ensures robust data governance and compliance, from internal GenAI projects to everyday communication tools and cloud applications.
