Anthropic has announced a $50 billion investment to expand American AI infrastructure through new data centers in Texas and New York, developed in partnership with Fluidstack. The initiative aims to enhance computing capacity to support Anthropic’s frontier AI research while driving U.S. competitiveness and job creation. Expected to generate around 800 permanent and 2,400 construction jobs, the facilities will begin operations in 2026 and align with the Trump administration’s AI Action Plan to reinforce American AI leadership. “We’re getting closer to AI that can accelerate scientific discovery and help solve complex problems in ways that weren’t possible before,” said Dario Amodei, CEO and co-founder of Anthropic.
