NetDocuments Acquire eDOCS

NetDocuments

NetDocuments, the cloud-based legal document management platform, announced it has acquired eDOCS from OpenText. The deal covers the entire eDOCS product line and its skilled team. This will expand NetDocuments’ reach to over 90 countries. It also ensures the eDOCS community has a lasting home at a company focused on serving legal professionals.

The acquisition boosts NetDocuments’ capacity to offer secure and modern legal document management globally. This helps law firms and legal departments, big or small, access advanced technology that meets their changing needs.

NetDocuments will keep supporting the on-premises eDOCS platform. There’s no planned end-of-life timeline. This ensures stability for current customers. Current workflows, customer ties, and partner networks will stay the same. Adding skilled eDOCS team members at NetDocuments will keep our expertise and service strong.

Customers and partners will see steady engagement and clear communication during the transition. They will have access to a welcome site with onboarding resources, FAQs, and registration for upcoming welcome events.

Our focus is to provide stability and continuity first, while ensuring customers have access to a modern platform and a clear, seamless path to modernization when they choose to pursue it.”

For organizations looking to modernize now or in the future, NetDocuments provides a flexible upgrade path. This is backed by its ownership of both platforms. This approach allows for quick, low-risk transitions. It uses specialized migration tools that keep institutional knowledge intact, maintain established processes, and ensure a smooth modernization experience when customers are ready to move.
