Accenture has developed new capabilities and assets for its Adaptive Managed Extended Detection and Response (MxDR) solution, aiming to increase and improve the Microsoft Security Platforms. In partnership with Microsoft and their joint venture Avanade, the updated solution provides agentic AI-powered cybersecurity solutions and data analytics to help organizations detect, respond to, and mitigate security threats.
Recent research by Accenture reveals the increasing sense of urgency in addressing the security threat landscape, where 74 percent of CEOs are concerned about their organizations’ ability to prevent cyberattacks. This further reinforces the necessity for intelligent and autonomous solutions such as Accenture MxDR for Microsoft, developed to proactively manage security threats and reduce potential risk exposure.
“Cybersecurity teams have long faced significant challenges in managing massive datasets, and scaling security management tools and overcoming staffing resource limitations,” said Harpreet Sidhu, global lead, Accenture Cybersecurity. “With Accenture MxDR for Microsoft, we’re helping organizations harness agentic AI-powered solutions to supercharge cyberattack detection and proactive remediation, enabling security teams to focus on strategic priorities and driving risk reduction while autonomous agents handle routine threat scenarios.”

Key Capabilities of Accenture MxDR for Microsoft
The enhanced solution offers a new set of AI-driven security capabilities designed to provide better visibility, speedier response times, and reduced complexity:
Unified Security Data for Faster Defense: This feature allows for rapid onboarding of tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Threat Intelligence, and Identity solutions. This allows for better insights and faster response times through the use of AI-driven detection and response capabilities via the data lake provided by Sentinel.
MxDR AI Agents for Enhanced Visibility: Works alongside Microsoft Security AI agents and unified threat intelligence to deliver proprietary agentic AI capabilities. These agents proactively identify gaps, reduce blind spots across security layers and minimize alert noise for more efficient operations.
Centralized Content Library and Factory: Offers a strong framework to effectively cover both existing and future threats. It consists of telemetry collection, detection models, response workflows, and dashboards as well as AI agents. All of this content can be deployed easily through the content industry-specific library.
E5 Acceleration Packages for Resilience: It is a well-organized method of adoption of Microsoft Security tools that include Purview, Entra, and Intune. Implementation is speeded up with the help of pre-configured content that comes with the package. This way, organizations can achieve security posture improvements that are faster and more cost-effective.
Strengthening Enterprise Cyber Resilience
By integrating Accenture’s managed security expertise with Microsoft’s AI-powered ecosystem, the solution enables enterprises to move from reactive defense strategies to proactive, intelligence-led cybersecurity operations. The combination helps reduce complexity, improve operational efficiency and strengthen protection across digital environments.
“We’re proud to deepen our collaboration with Accenture to help customers secure their digital estates with end-to-end visibility and faster response times,” said Steve Dispensa, Corporate Vice President, Security Solution Area, Microsoft. “The Accenture Adaptive MxDR for Microsoft combines Accenture’s managed services and security expertise with the breadth of Microsoft’s AI-powered platform to help organizations reduce complexity, strengthen defenses and scale resilience.”
