Sivers Semiconductors is partnering with GF in order to provide solutions for silicon photonics with the purpose of addressing the ever-increasing demands in terms of AI infrastructure and hyperscale data centers. Under the collaboration, the laser arrays from Sivers Semiconductors will be incorporated within the reference design that will be developed on the basis of the silicon photonics offering from GF. This will result in state-of-the-art optical connectivity platforms, among which CPO and LPO and other optical data center interconnect technologies. At the same time, Sivers’ laser arrays will also find their way into GF’s Silicon Photonics Co-packaged Advanced Light Engine (SCALE™) platform, where they can be used along with integrated photonic elements and wavelength division multiplexing technologies to provide better bandwidth density, efficiency and scalability.
