Bitdefender Unveils GravityZone AI Visibility and Control, a Securing AI Powerful Solution

Bitdefender

Bitdefender has introduced GravityZone AI Visibility and Control, a new add-on for its GravityZone security platform designed to help organizations and managed service providers identify and manage risks associated with employee AI tool usage. The solution addresses growing concerns around shadow AI, with a Bitdefender survey of 1,200 cybersecurity practitioners finding that 47% of organizations lack full visibility into employee AI tool usage. GravityZone AI Visibility and Control uses the existing GravityZone agent to discover AI tools and applications, including chatbots, local large language models, coding assistants, autonomous agents, Model Context Protocol servers and AI-enabled SaaS. It assigns risk levels to identified tools, enabling IT and security teams to prioritize exposures and apply policies through application control and web filtering.

When combined with GravityZone PHASR, the solution can also use AI activity telemetry to establish behavioral baselines and dynamically adjust security hardening. The capabilities are integrated with GravityZone’s existing endpoint, cloud, detection and response functions, helping organizations manage AI-related risks alongside other attack surfaces. “AI adoption is moving faster than most security teams can manage, leaving organizations exposed to risks they can’t see,” said Daniel Daraban, vice president of products, Bitdefender Business Solutions Group. “Closing that gap requires a prevention-first security mindset that identifies and stops threats up front, before they ever reach detection and response or higher defense layers. GravityZone AI Visibility and Control brings that same mindset to AI, so organizations can embrace it with confidence and without unnecessary risk or overhead.”
