Cohesity and HPE Expand Partnership to Deliver Cyber Resilience and Hybrid Cloud Innovation

Cohesity

Cohesity is leading in providing artificial intelligence security solutions, they have made some news about their extension in partnership with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), whose alliance had been there since seven years now. This new partnership will help them make their enterprises resilient to cybersecurity and provide easy recovery from any threats faced.

The new partnership incorporates various new reselling deals, advanced technical plans, and common sales strategies for the two organizations. With the integration of HPE’s advanced hybrid cloud technology infrastructure with the artificial intelligence-based security solutions provided by Cohesity, both companies offer an integrated portfolio of security for data stored on-premise, edge, and multi-cloud environments.

Unified Offerings and Deep Technical Integration

The heart of this expanded partnership lies in a reciprocal resell agreement that optimizes the “Data-to-Cloud” lifecycle for customers:

Cohesity to Resell HPE Zerto: Cohesity will now offer HPE Zerto directly, providing customers with continuous data protection (CDP). This allows for near-zero Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO), enabling businesses to recover from ransomware or outages almost instantaneously.

HPE to Resell Cohesity DataProtect and NetBackup: HPE expands its portfolio by adding Cohesity NetBackup, optimized for high-performance, disaggregated storage architectures like HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000 and HPE StoreOnce. HPE also continues to offer Cohesity DataProtect as a premier modern data protection solution.

Next-Gen Cloud Management: Cohesity is deepening its integration with HPE Morpheus VM Essentials and Morpheus Enterprise Software. This ensures that enterprises utilizing HPE’s virtualization and unified cloud management tools have out-of-the-box support for Cohesity solutions, with full availability slated for mid-2026.

Strengthening a Proven Strategic Alliance

The expanded partnership follows massive growth in the EMEA region, where HPE was recently named Cohesity’s FY25 Europe OEM Partner of the Year following a 177% year-over-year increase in joint software sales.

“This collaboration puts HPE and Cohesity in pole position to bring even more powerful and integrated cyber-resilient solutions to our customers,” said Sanjay Poonen, CEO and President, Cohesity. “Enterprises everywhere want to confidently and quickly protect and recover their most critical data, and that’s precisely what we’re going to enable by pairing HPE’s trusted hybrid cloud infrastructure with Cohesity’s AI-powered data security platform.”

“Together, Cohesity and HPE are helping organizations modernize data protection while improving resilience and operational efficiency across hybrid and multicloud environments,” said Fidelma Russo, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Hybrid Cloud, and CTO, HPE. “This collaboration supports a simplified hybrid cloud operating model that secures and manages data wherever it lives, with greater performance and flexibility.”

Recently, the power of the HPE-Cohesity partnership has been further cemented by winning a large contract from a federal agency, namely the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). One of the biggest federal cloud modernizations ever in the United States, DISA chose HPE to build a secure and sovereign cloud infrastructure using HPE GreenLake. In turn, Cohesity is the foundation of the entire data protection and cyber resiliency solution for this vital platform.
