CSC has launched its Domain Control Validation as a Service (DCVaaS), an innovative solution aimed at helping enterprises streamline the validation process for SSL/TLS certificates. The offering addresses a growing need for automation and efficiency in digital certificate lifecycle management, especially as certificate validity periods shrink and compliance demands rise.
DCVaaS enables businesses to centralize and automate domain control validations, eliminating the need for redundant checks every time a certificate is issued or renewed. It’s designed specifically for use with CSC’s Trusted Secure certificate offerings, giving clients the ability to manage validations more efficiently across multiple domains.
“Issuing digital certificates involves specific processes and a considerable amount of work. When it comes to renewals, the same steps need to be repeated,” said Mark Flegg, senior director of Technology, CSC Security Products and Services. “DCVaaS addresses a major pain point in certificate management—repetitive and time-consuming validations. DCVaaS can reduce processing time by more than half, allowing companies to deploy certificates more quickly than ever before. As WHOIS email validation sunsets and certificate lifespans continue to shrink, DCVaaS helps organizations stay compliant, agile, and ahead of the curve.”

This launch comes as the CA/Browser Forum prepares to implement new policies in March 2026, including shorter certificate validity periods and stricter domain validation reuse limits. These changes are expected to increase the operational burden on organizations unless they adopt automation solutions like DCVaaS.
With this new service, CSC aims to help clients stay compliant, reduce risks, and maintain secure, uninterrupted digital operations in an increasingly complex certificate landscape.
