Exeon Analytics Launches AgentGuard for AI Threat Detection

Exeon Analytics

Exeon.AgentGuard helps organizations identify approved and shadow AI use, investigate potential data leakage, and detect unusual activity across AI agents, applications, tools, and external resources.

Exeon Analytics introduced Exeon.AgentGuard, a new AI security solution designed to give organizations visibility into approved and shadow AI use, autonomous agent activity, and the data flows created through connected tools and external services. Building on its expertise in AI-driven behavioral analytics and threat detection, Exeon expands its cybersecurity capabilities to address emerging risks associated with the rapid adoption of agentic AI.

AI agents are transforming how enterprises operate. Employees increasingly rely on AI agents to automate tasks, analyze information, and interact with business applications, while organizations are deploying autonomous agents to execute increasingly complex processes with limited human intervention.

This introduces new cybersecurity challenges. AI agents can access sensitive information, interact with external services, and execute actions using legitimate user or system permissions. When an agent operates through a user account, service account, or other technical identity, it may inherit the permissions available in that context, potentially exposing the organization to unintended actions, sensitive data leakage, or malicious manipulation.

As AI adoption accelerates, organizations need visibility into which agents are being used, what information they access, and which actions they perform on behalf of users or autonomously.

Bringing visibility, addressing data leakage and rogue AI agent behavior

As enterprises increasingly adopt AI agents, maintaining visibility into their activities becomes critical. Whether operating autonomously or on behalf of employees, organizations need to understand what AI agents are doing, which systems and data they access, and how they interact with external services.

Exeon.AgentGuard provides security teams with visibility into AI agent activities by leveraging existing data sources, without requiring additional agents or complex deployments. This enables organizations to identify suspicious behavior and investigate potential threats. The solution addresses two major security risks: sensitive data leakage and rogue AI agent behavior, including unauthorized data transfers, misuse of privileges and potentially harmful actions on critical systems.

Building on Exeon’s expertise in behavioral analytics, Exeon.AgentGuard detects deviations from expected AI agent behavior, enabling organizations to identify emerging threats and maintain greater control over their AI environments.

Gregor Erismann, CEO of Exeon Analytics: AI agents are fundamentally changing how enterprises operate. Whether acting autonomously or on behalf of employees, they can access sensitive data and execute actions with legitimate permissions, often beyond the visibility of traditional security controls. With Exeon.AgentGuard, we are addressing this emerging security challenge by helping organizations understand what their AI agents are doing and detect unexpected behavior. Our goal is to enable enterprises to embrace AI-driven innovation without compromising security.

Extending threat detection across networks, identities, applications and AI agents

The introduction of Exeon.AgentGuard represents a further step in Exeon’s strategy to expand behavioral threat detection beyond traditional network security.

With Exeon.NDR, the company provides agentless network threat detection based on network metadata analysis, while Exeon.UEBA extends behavioral monitoring to users, identities and business-critical applications.

Exeon.AgentGuard builds on these capabilities by addressing both the use of external AI services and the activity of autonomous agents across models, applications, connected tools and external resources.

As enterprise attack surfaces expand across networks, cloud infrastructure, human and non-human identities, applications and AI agents, Exeon aims to provide security teams with the visibility and behavioral insights required to identify sophisticated threats that traditional security controls may overlook. By extending behavioral threat detection to AI use and autonomous agent activity, Exeon is helping organizations investigate emerging AI-related risks while maintaining control over how and where their data is processed.
