Nu Quantum, the Cambridge‑based pioneer of quantum networking infrastructure, has secured a $60 million Series A funding round—the largest ever raised by a pure‑play quantum networking company and the biggest quantum Series A funding in the UK to date. Led by National Grid Partners, with participation from Gresham House Ventures, Morpheus Ventures and existing investors, the oversubscribed round will accelerate development of Nu Quantum’s “Entanglement Fabric” — a modular, photonic‑based networking layer designed to interconnect quantum processors and enable truly scalable, distributed quantum computing.

The funds will drive product development, support international expansion, and grow the firm’s multidisciplinary team across Europe and the US. Nu Quantum’s approach shifts the industry away from scaling single‑processor quantum machines by enabling multiple quantum nodes to function as a unified, larger system — a critical step toward fault‑tolerant quantum computing and unlocking the projected $1 trillion quantum‑computing market.
