STRADVISION has joined the Arm Total Design for Physical AI ecosystem, bringing its more than decade-long experience in production-proven visual perception software to the development of autonomous systems. Announced at Arm Everywhere in Shanghai, the collaboration builds on STRADVISION’s expertise in detection, classification, depth estimation and semantic segmentation across front-camera, surround-view and multi-camera configurations deployed on automotive compute platforms. The company’s experience delivering perception within production constraints around compute, power, thermal performance and cost is positioned as relevant to the broader physical AI and robotics ecosystem. The Arm Total Design for Physical AI initiative seeks to address fragmentation in physical AI development by bringing together technologies spanning silicon, AI models, middleware, tools and applications, while its Robotics Capability Framework aims to establish common terminology for defining and comparing robotic capabilities.

“The next challenge for physical AI is bringing increasingly capable technologies together into complete, deployable systems,” said Dermot O’Driscoll, Vice President of Go-to-Market, Physical AI, Arm. “Arm Total Design for Physical AI is bringing the ecosystem together to accelerate how those systems are developed, and a Robotics Capability Framework creates a common language for how those systems are defined. STRADVISION brings valuable, proven expertise in perception to both efforts.” “The hard part of physical AI is no longer whether a model can perceive something. It is whether that capability can be specified, integrated and shipped inside real constraints,” said Philip Vidal, CBO of STRADVISION. “We have spent more than a decade doing exactly that in production vehicles, across almost every major automotive compute platform. Automotive has been our proving ground, not the boundary of our technology. A common language for capability is what lets the rest of the ecosystem move at the same speed, and we are glad to support Arm in establishing it.”
