Superblocks and Databricks Partner to Enable Secure Internal App Development on Data Intelligence Platform

Superblocks

Superblocks has announced a strategic partnership and native integration with Databricks, enabling enterprises to build secure, production-ready internal applications directly within the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. The announcement was made during the 2025 Databricks Data + AI Summit in New York, marking a significant step forward in accelerating application development using centralized data and AI capabilities.

As organizations increasingly look to transform their investments in data and AI into operational tools, the collaboration allows engineering, IT, and business teams to build internal apps using Superblocks’ multi-modal development environment. Users can now seamlessly access and embed Databricks services—including Databricks SQL, Mosaic AI, Lakehouse, and Unity Catalog—into applications built via Superblocks’ Clark AI agent, visual editor, or direct React code customization.

“Our customers have invested in building a data and AI foundation in Databricks, and are increasingly turning to applications to help democratize those investments across their organization,” said Shanku Niyogi, VP of Product at Databricks. “With Superblocks’ integration with Databricks, they’re able to accelerate the development of these data and AI applications, without sacrificing security and governance.”

Superblocks offers a flexible development model that caters to various workflows: teams can generate applications using natural language prompts via Clark, refine user interfaces with drag-and-drop components, or dive into code with real-time sync between their IDE and the visual editor. Deployment options include Superblocks Cloud, on-premise via private VPC, or—soon—directly as Databricks Apps within Databricks’ governance framework.

“Databricks has transformed how organizations access and leverage data and AI. Superblocks takes it a step further empowering engineering, IT, and business teams to collaborate and build internal apps on top of that foundation,” added Brad Menezes, CEO of Superblocks.

The integration is now generally available, providing Databricks customers with the tools to rapidly develop secure, data-driven internal applications that align with enterprise compliance and operational goals.
