Cloudflare has announced a strategic partnership with Wiz, now part of Google Cloud, to provide organizations with a unified approach to securing AI-powered applications across complex environments. By integrating Cloudflare’s AI Security for Apps with the Wiz Security Graph, the collaboration enables enterprises to gain comprehensive visibility into their AI footprint while identifying and mitigating risks such as prompt injection, data exfiltration, and shadow AI. As more and more organizations quickly roll out AI technologies such as chatbots and copilots, this collaboration helps tackle the emerging problem of fractured security governance by providing visibility into the organization’s entire AI inventory and its associated risks.

The collaboration brings together the capabilities of Cloudflare’s edge-based guardrails and Wiz’s AI Application Protection Platform for mapping out the AI implementations in the organization and identifying any security weaknesses in terms of exploitability. “AI is the most transformative technology we’ve seen in a generation, powering countless capabilities. But for a majority of businesses, it can be a black box. When talking with CISOs today, they are struggling with the balance of being an enabler of innovation with AI, while combating uncontrolled shadow AI across their organization because their legacy security tools are effectively useless at this level,” said Tom Evans, Chief Partner Officer at Cloudflare. “The Cloudflare and Wiz partnership helps tackle this trade-off. Now, we are delivering a solution to allow innovation with AI at speed, without the worry that their most sensitive data will be exposed.”
