Anthropic has introduced Claude Fable 5, its most advanced publicly available AI model to date, with this being the first wide-scale availability of Anthropic’s potent Mythos series of technology, while employing tight security controls to mitigate any possible dangers. With a similar technological basis as Claude Mythos 5, Claude Fable 5 can achieve unparalleled efficiency in software engineering, knowledge-based work, scientific research, vision tasks, and reasoning tasks spanning several days, thereby giving users access to significantly more advanced and autonomous workflows when compared to Claude’s previous versions. This marks another milestone for making state-of-the-art technologies readily available while taking into account potential dangers that come with such an innovation.

Anthropic has taken care to implement guardrails so that queries concerning cybersecurity, biology, chemistry, and other potentially risky subjects will be automatically rerouted to Claude Opus 4.8, making usage of such technologies safer but without excluding any regular usage cases from accessing them. In addition to Claude Fable 5, Anthropic is continuing to provide limited access to Claude Mythos 5 as part of Project Glasswing. According to the company, the controls will apply to just a tiny fraction of transactions, allowing Fable 5 to function fully loaded for most corporate and developer use cases. Fable 5 offers enhanced efficiency, improved reasoning capabilities, and superior autonomy when completing tasks. This puts Anthropic at the cutting edge of the fast-growing AI industry.
