Deloitte Acquires Business of Wavicle Data Solutions to Accelerate Databricks AI Engineering Capabilities

Deloitte

Deloitte has acquired substantially all of the assets of Wavicle Data Solutions, a premier data and artificial intelligence engineering consulting firm with a market-leading Databricks practice. The strategic asset acquisition expands Deloitte’s capability to architect enterprise-grade, AI-ready data foundations, while reinforcing its role as an enterprise orchestrator for Databricks environments across complex multi-cloud ecosystems.

The acquisition brings Wavicle’s deep technical expertise in managing Databricks across all major hyperscale cloud platforms, complemented by specialized data engineering skills in key sectors including consumer goods, manufacturing, financial services, life sciences, and healthcare.

Expanding Scalable AI Engineering Across Hyperscalers

Enterprise AI adoption hinges on modernizing underlying data architecture. Integrating Wavicle’s technical engineering talent into Deloitte’s existing Artificial Intelligence and Data practice allows organizations to overcome integration, governance, and infrastructure roadblocks that often slow enterprise AI deployment.

Combining our technical leadership and engineering talent with Deloitte’s impressive AI and Engineering business will help us deliver AI-powered, innovation-centered, data-strong futures for our clients across industries and sectors,” said Naveen Venkatapathi, managing director for Wavicle.

“Modernizing data ecosystems is a critical foundation for enterprises seeking to differentiate through AI,” said Sundhar Sekhar, chief services officer, Deloitte Consulting LLP. “The integration of Wavicle’s technical leadership and background in a wide range of solutions with Deloitte’s Databricks offering allows us to help clients bring together the modernized data foundations, industry knowledge and intelligence solutions to move faster and deliver AI that performs in the real world.”

Strengthening the Strategic Databricks Alliance

The acquisition builds on Deloitte’s ongoing strategic alliance with Databricks to deliver unified data, analytics, and AI solutions.

At the 2026 Data + AI Summit, Databricks recognized Deloitte’s technical delivery across complex operational environments by awarding it three 2026 Databricks Partner Awards in the Consulting and System Integrators category:

North America Partner of the Year (Regulated and Unregulated Industries)

These accolades demonstrate a proven track record of executing secure, measurable digital transformations within highly regulated industries. Adding Wavicle’s specialized talent and hyperscaler expertise positions Deloitte to expand these capabilities across broader global markets.
