KnowBe4 has expanded its cybersecurity awareness portfolio with the launch of Spot the Vish, its 35th interactive training game designed to help employees recognize, resist, and report increasingly sophisticated voice phishing (vishing) attacks. This comes in the wake of increasing phishing threats via phones, whereby the latest report from KnowBe4 2025 Phishing Threat Trends Report Volume Six notes that there has been a 449 percent rise in phone phishing attempts. In this game, one is put in a situation where a cybercriminal plays the role of either an IT representative or a business executive in order to convince an employee to share their login details or carry out an action that could lead to fraud.

“An urgent call from what seems to be IT or a high-ranking executive with a high-pressure request for a password or large wire transfer can happen to any employee at any time,” said Isida Drake, SVP of Security & Compliance eLearning, KnowBe4. “We have gamified the critical threat vector of vishing into an interactive simulation where employees learn in an engaging and memorable way. By participating in the new Spot the Vish game, employees develop the muscle memory needed to help protect their organizations by stopping vishing attacks.” Spot the Vish joins KnowBe4’s broader library of gamified cybersecurity training titles, including Danger Zone, the Spot the Phish series, Share If You Dare, and The Inside Man, offering multilingual, interactive learning experiences that help global organizations improve employee awareness and strengthen defenses against evolving social engineering threats.
