NetApp, a leader in intelligent data infrastructure, has entered a partnership with Elastio to provide a multi-layered cyber resilience solution that can safeguard data in the production as well as the recovery environment of the organization. The partnership comes at a time when the level of sophistication of ransomware attacks is increasing, with the malware entering the system undetected and then staying inside the snapshots or the backup environment until the detection of the malware.

Through this partnership, Elastio’s “Provable Recovery Control” technology is now embedded within the NetApp Ransomware Resilience Service under the “Powered by Elastio” framework. The integration is further enhanced by a Deep File Inspection capability for snapshots, enabling continuous validation of recovery points and ensuring data integrity before restoration.

Continuous Recovery Validation: This uses Elastio’s Provable Recovery Control to conduct in-depth file analysis on the snapshots to identify zero-day ransomware, hidden corruption, and stealth malware.
Agentless Deployment: This guarantees seamless integration without requiring architectural changes and/or software agents.
