Sumo Logic has enhanced its Data Pipelines capabilities to give security and operations teams greater control over telemetry quality, routing and costs before data is ingested, stored and analyzed. The Intelligent Operations Platform has always been providing telemetry unified in a format that is ready for machine learning and helps security and operations workflows, but now better Data Pipelines help organizations filter out the noise and route their information to proper destinations and tiers without installing any additional management tool. This release tackles a problem of an increased amount of telemetry due to the growing complexity of IT landscapes and the adoption of artificial intelligence, as well as helps to reconcile the necessity to gather comprehensive data and its increased cost of ingestion and storage.

According to a recent Gartner report, “Organizations typically defaulted to ingesting all of the operational data with the intention to analyze at a later date. Today’s complex environments no longer allow this to be feasible due to costs associated with ingestion and storage. Not only is there no increase in business value, but we see a decrease in value due to higher volumes of poor-quality telemetry, which inhibit the ability of generative AI (GenAI) and large language models (LLMs) that use this data.” Sumo Logic currently ingests and analyzes nearly seven exabytes of data daily for thousands of security and operations teams.
