TransUnion Expands AI Credit Intelligence with Google Cloud

TransUnion

TransUnion unveiled its AI Analytics Orchestrator Agent, a powerful new capability developed on the company’s OneTru solution enablement platform. Built using Gemini models from Google Cloud, the Agent is designed to drive advanced analytics across TransUnion’s TruIQ® solutions suite.

The new AI-powered capability is intended to simplify and accelerate complex credit analytics, enabling faster insights and improving accessibility for organizations across the financial services sector. Currently utilized by TransUnion’s internal data science teams, the Agent allows the company to combine its extensive data assets with deep industry expertise to generate more impactful insights with greater efficiency. This capability enables TransUnion to extend sophisticated analytics services to a broader customer base while significantly increasing delivery speed.

“By leveraging Google Cloud’s advanced AI ecosystem, our Agent orchestrates the entire analytics journey from prompt to production directly within TruIQ,” said Venkat Achanta, Chief Technology, Data & Analytics Officer at TransUnion. “When combined with TransUnion analytic solutions and permissioned data access, this capability will dramatically reduce analytic cycle times-from weeks to hours or even minutes-while enabling customers to run sophisticated analyses without direct data science support. It is the Agent purpose-built to deliver auditable, explainable and governed analytics.”

AI Analytics Orchestrator Agent Enables Auditable, Explainable and Governed Analytics

In the coming months, customers will gain the ability to use the AI Analytics Orchestrator Agent to convert natural-language questions into fully governed, production-ready analytical workflows. This functionality will help organizations unlock deeper insights, expand self-service analytics capabilities and create new opportunities for transactional revenue within the TransUnion ecosystem.

A key strength of the Agent lies in its support for auditable and explainable analytics. The system interprets user prompts, breaks them into sequential analytical steps, translates those steps into code and then explains the reasoning behind the results in clear, plain language. This level of transparency makes the Agent’s decision-making logic understandable even for non-technical users, helping organizations strengthen governance and build trust in AI-driven analytics.

Beyond transparency, the Agent is tightly integrated with TransUnion’s enterprise conversational data catalog and semantic knowledge graph metadata layer. This integration enables the system to understand how credit-related concepts and attributes connect, allowing it to retrieve governed data attributes, map complex concepts accurately and enhance the interpretability of analytical outputs.

TransUnion’s work demonstrates how organizations can leverage Google Cloud’s AI technologies to rapidly build domain-specific solutions,” said Rohit Bhat, General Manager and Managing Director, Financial Services, Google Cloud. “By embedding our Vertex AI platform and Gemini models within the OneTru platform, TransUnion is creating a transparent and governed AI-first environment that bridges the gap between complex data science and actionable credit insights.”
