Workato has released Otto, its multiplayer AI superagent, which is now available for individual and group use via Slack, the web, and SMS. After its debut in the enterprise sector in May 2026, Otto is aimed at managing entire projects rather than single tasks because it plans and does work on behalf of the user independently in business apps and collaborates with other Ottos and human coworkers. Unlike AI tools that primarily provide answers, generate content or complete individual actions before waiting for further instructions, Otto is designed to carry projects through to completion and return finished results. Potential applications include managing marketing campaigns from initial briefs through asset creation, monitoring major sales opportunities and changes, and producing concise executive updates. Otto operates on Workato’s AI control and execution platform and is powered by Anthropic’s Claude through the Claude Agent SDK.

That handles its core reasoning and agent decisions, while other frontier models support image, audio and video generation. “Otto shows what the Claude Agent SDK is built for: agents that plan work, take action across the tools people already use, and see a project through to the end.
