“Previously, the data center solutions that Parker has brought to us could only be provided by manufacturers, but he has consistently upgraded his effort and effectiveness at Smith for the benefit of our customers,” said Jennifer Kabbara, President, Americas at Smith. “Throughout his 22-year career with the company, the incremental gains we have made on the services side have amounted to large value-adds for our customers in this space. We are grateful to Parker for investing in relationships with the types of customers who have created the demand for Smith’s growth in this area.”
The company’s expanded data center services provide fully customizable, end-to-end solutions, including manufacturing services, lifecycle solutions, and inventory analysis. Each program is uniquely tailored to fit the needs of each customer and can be scaled up or down as needs and market conditions fluctuate. Through secure remarketing and reuse of storage hardware, including HDDs, SSDs, GPUs, and memory components—Smith contributes to a more sustainable electronics supply chain.
“From our global ISO 14001 certification to our ongoing collaborations with other technology innovators via the Circular Drive Initiative and Open Compute Project, sustainability has been a core tenet of Smith‘s operational initiatives for many years,” said Parker. “I am excited to help amplify our efforts with custom programs and effective, long-term solutions that support our customers’ sustainability goals.”
