Databricks, a leading Data and AI company, has entered a strategic five-year partnership with Anthropic, an AI safety and research organization, to integrate Anthropic’s Claude AI models and services into the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. This collaboration aims to provide over 10,000 enterprises with the tools to securely build and deploy AI agents that can reason over their proprietary data. Ali Ghodsi, Co-founder and CEO of Databricks, emphasized the significance of this alliance, stating, “As demand for data intelligence grows, our partnership with Anthropic allows enterprises to unlock the full potential of their data through AI.”

Anthropic’s latest model, Claude 3.7 Sonnet, recognized for its advanced reasoning and coding capabilities, is now accessible via Databricks on major cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Dario Amodei, CEO and Co-founder of Anthropic, highlighted the transformative potential of AI agents, noting, “This year, we’ll see remarkable advances in AI agents capable of working independently on complex tasks.” The integration of Claude models into Databricks’ platform is expected to enhance enterprises’ ability to develop domain-specific AI applications, thereby increasing returns on AI investments and fostering innovation across various industries.
