Arrcus Partners with Fujitsu and 1Finity to Advance Sovereign AI Infrastructure with FUJITSU-MONAKA

Arrcus

Arrcus, the pioneer in distributed networking infrastructure, has revealed a strategic partnership with Fujitsu and 1Finity focused on FUJITSU, MONAKA, the next, generation, highly energy, efficient Arm, based CPU of Fujitsu, offering a secure and power, optimized infrastructure that is ideal for Physical AI, Agentic AI as well as AI training, the new AI era.

Also, it is likely that AI inference will go beyond the centralized data centers and be placed next to the sources of data in the near future. In that case, enterprises, as well as service providers, will have to face new operational and regulatory problems related to latency, power consumption, data sovereignty, and cybersecurity. As a result of this collaboration, Arrcus and Fujitsu are co, creating a Secure Sovereign AI Infrastructure concept that is capable of accommodating highly distributed AI workloadsranging from edge inference environments to scalable AI training platformswhile at the same time, satisfying the most demanding criteria of performance, efficiency, and governance.

The joint architecture will bring together FUJITSU-MONAKA-powered compute platforms, the disaggregated and software-defined network operating system provided by Arrcus, and 1Finity’s high-speed optical interconnect technologies. These technologies will work together to provide intelligent traffic orchestration, connectivity, and end-to-end automation in geographically dispersed AI environments. Overall, the joint solution aims to help service providers and large enterprises transform their networks from basic connectivity platforms to sophisticated and distributed AI platforms that can support next-generation digital and AI services.

“AI inference is increasingly happening closer to where data is generated, in factories, hospitals, warehouses, and regional networks, and that fundamentally changes infrastructure requirements,” said Shekar Ayyar, Chairman and CEO of Arrcus. “By combining Arrcus’ distributed, programmable networking software with Fujitsu’s FUJITSU-MONAKA platform, we’re laying the foundation for secure, sovereign AI infrastructure that can scale from the edge to the core while optimizing for power, performance, and operational flexibility.”

FUJITSU-MONAKA is engineered to deliver high-performance AI inference and data processing with significantly improved power efficiency, while also incorporating confidential computing capabilities to support hardware-rooted security and data sovereignty. When integrated with Arrcus’ network operating system, the combined solution enables dynamic traffic steering, workload-aware routing and automated end-to-end orchestration across distributed environments—capabilities that are essential for Physical AI systems and real-time, latency-sensitive inference workloads.

“Physical AI and edge inference demand infrastructure that is not only powerful, but also energy-efficient and secure by design,” said Toshio Yoshida, VP, in charge of processor development, Advanced Technology Development Unit of Fujitsu. “Our collaboration with Arrcus around FUJITSU-MONAKA is key to meeting data sovereignty requirements and enabling enterprises and service providers to deploy trusted AI infrastructure with confidence across edge-to-core environments.”
