Meta Unveils Muse Spark to Power Personal Superintelligence and AI Experiences

Meta

Meta has introduced Muse Spark, the first large language model from its Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL), marking a major step in its AI roadmap with a natively multimodal reasoning model designed for text, image, voice, and tool-based interactions. Developed to power the Meta AI system within the Meta AI mobile app and website at first, Muse Spark is expected to spread to WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, and Meta AI glasses in the near future, thus facilitating speedier and context-based interactions.

This system offers features like visual chain-of-thought reasoning, mult-agent coordination, and improved multimodal perception for users to engage in such activities as journey planning, health inquiries, product comparisons, and more. Meta says Muse Spark is intentionally “small and fast by design,” yet capable of solving complex science, math, and health problems while serving as the foundation for larger upcoming models. The launch underscores Meta’s push toward “personal superintelligence,” positioning Muse Spark as a strategic leap beyond earlier Llama models and into more adaptive, consumer-centric AI experiences.
